Andre writes: "Working hard to improve upon last years
success. I've increased the size of my rink this year by an extra
10 feet in length and I'm using a 40 x 30 foot blue tarp. This years rink is 34 feet long x 18 feet wide and has
a water depth of 2 to 8 inches. I put down the tarp and flooded on December 28, and considering the amount of wet snow and rain we've had since then ... things are going well. The ice is presently about 2 to 3 ½ inches thick with no water leaks .... so I'm hoping for the weather to hold until the weekend - Jan 8. Then it should be perfect for the first skate of the season.
