"Thought I would send a couple of pictures from our rink in Salmon Arm, BC. This is the third year we have built
one and I enjoy looking at other pictures from your site.
Our rink is about 28'x48', using a 30'x50' tarp. I sent a pic with how I do our boards. By wrapping the tarp under
the boards, it doesn't get damaged at all and we have very solid boards once the snow and ice comes. The salt bags are
filled with sand and is the only support until the snow falls. The tarp is held with screws through small squares of
wood which are removed in the spring and used next year.
It was a great year for making a rink but a lot of work to keep it cleared as it seemed to snow all the time. Would like
to make it bigger next year but not sure about the extra shovelling!"
Thanks for the beautiful pictures Ed.
