Micheal writes: "This website was referred to me by a fellow backyard rink enthusiast and it has been a tremendous help to me with my rink. This is the second year that I have made one. The first years' rink was a very snug 9' x 14' ice patch that my three children still managed to enjoy. With some work during the summer, my father-in-law and I were able to level out and expand our backyard, thus resulting in a 18' x 30' rink I have a 10 year old son Alex and twin 6 year old daughters, Emma and Gabrielle who have been getting up at 8:00 am on weekends to go out and skate before breakfast.
