Phil writes: "Hi Howard, Finally - I get the pictures of the rink off. These are taken from our upstairs window. Rink measures 35' x 60' and pretty much takes up the entire back yard. The boards are 1 x 4's staked in every 3 ft. Tough winter on ice here in Ontario but kids had lots of fun nonetheless. Shortly after this picture was taken the melting/freezing cycle started and the lines got buried - I never did get it back to perfect. Used a liner this year but in future I think I will go back to building on snow - the thawing and wrapping up a filthy liner was too messy to contemplate doing again - much easier to watch it all just run-off. Great web site - will be back looking for more great ideas as we slide into winter 2006/07." Nice job Phil. Thanks for the pics. |
