Peter writes: "Looks like a tough year for maintaining ice. We've had a similar schedule here in Rhode Island-- had great ice for 2+ weeks starting January 18th (see enclosed photos), then temperate weather since. I've read Jack Falla's "Home Ice" during the down time. I guess we all must take the good with the bad. This year's rink expanded to 24' by 30', added boards, and a cage. Thinking about adding a foil insulation blanket next year as the February sun has eaten about an inch of ice off the north end of the rink." Nice job Peter. Thanks for the pics. |
