I always knew (hoped) my wife and I were going to have children and I kind of guessed that they would learn to skate. So I wanted to have the process of building a backyard rink all figured out by the time they were old enough to use it.
I made my first backyard rink in 1992. It was a small 10' x 10' experiment to see if I could actually do it. Although I was sucessfull in building that first rink, I am still learning new things about building rinks all these years later.
I started
taking pictures and documenting my rinks when I started this website in
