45' x 120'

"Hello, attached is a photo of my backyard rink. Not a contest winner but an example of a big rink -- just sharing the "labor of love" for your collection.
Even though it is a pond, it has its own challenges with upkeep. The rink is 45 x 120 (precise planning on the pond "here to about here") we can still reach it with a hose from the house (overlooks the pond to the right on the photo) when we resurface with a 48" PVC water applicator and 12x48 a strip of Berber carpeting dragged behind it ($25 in supplies from Home Depot).
By shoveling, it takes about 2 hours to make it skate-able after a snow fall. A good hot water treatment cleans it up nicely with subsequent applications.
This is my 11 year old's practice rink when he is not skating on his local Squirt B team. He will spend 2-3 hours on the pond on a weekend!"
Nice job guys. Thanks for the nice pic.
