"We had a warm week just after Christmas,
but my liner held up (6 mil with 2 taped seams) and didn't loose much of the water.
I began construction around 11/1/03 by using 2x6's on one side and 2' high plywood on the ends and the
deeper side. I pounded in 2' rebar and attached to the boards with electrical conduit clamps
and screws...Very sturdy. I made ice one night by letting the hose run for about 7 hours when
the temp was around 10 degrees F. I made 2 nets out of PVC and found netting made for this at
Hockey Giant in Bloomington, MN.
Had a big snowfall and thaw early in December that caused havoc,
but as of today (1/5/04) the ice is perfect. My son is in the pictures practicing his shot
(he's 5 years old playing Mini-Mites for Rosemount, MN)."
Great job and thanks for the pic Brian. |
