Carey writes:

This is our first attempt at a backyard rink. It measures 24’ x 48’. I hope to add at least another 10’ to the length next year.

We flooded on December 2, and the kids were skating on December 12. These pictures were taken on Christmas eve.

I had a bit of a mishap earlier. Some of the supports for the side boards on the low end of my yard gave away from the weight of the water. As a result, I got a leak in my tarp, thankfully cold weather set in and I was able to plug it up with packed snow. Keeping my fingers crossed for below average temps this winter. I learned my lesson and will support the boards better next year.
