Craig writes: "Here's The Johnstone's 2006 rink. 30' x 16' in Brooklin, ON. Liam 7, Sarah 6 and Claire 4 enjoy it! Great for skating, hockey and even ball hockey's a blast on it!! I first tried the rink after reading all the tips on your site in '05. Saved me a ton of time in the longrun. Great year! From mid-December to end of February got 34 skates in. I highly recommend anyone building spend an hour to read the tips on your sight first. Weather was mild and sunny in '06 but we still got 21 skates in from late January to the end of February. Canada went out in the Olympic 1/4 finals versus Russia 2-0 (with an empty netter) but the flag flies all winter long. Thanks for putting your site together. I never dreamed of building a rink until I visited it. It's pretty easy. Takes me about 8 hours to set it up each year and 3 hours to take down. The maintenance is extra but it's usually calming outside at night when flooding it over a wee nippy sweety. As long as we are in Brooklin, we will have a backyard rink.
