John writes: "I've looked at your site for a couple of years, and loved the entries. Until this year, we had the "Ice & Go" rink in the back... but with our son playing Rep hockey (7 year old Tyke) and all his friends, it was time for boards and better lighting etc... We have games nightly and all day most weekends. Our home has happily become the hub of his friends entertainment. Actually most nights dads can been seen on the sidelines with a cocktail... so it works for everyone! The rink is 28" x 45" with 4 - 500W Halogens in the corners, plus the 4 flood lights we used in years gone by. The boards are 4 ft in the ends and corners 2 feet on the sides to make it easier to clear/lift snow over. The grade of the land in the yard forces about 14 inches of water/ice in the low corner to achieve 3 - 4 inches on the high side. We are having a blast, and would love inclusion on your great site.
