Mark writes: "Thought I'd send a few pictures of our Backyard rink. It is 30' by 56' with 4' boards on the ends and 2' boards on the sides. Our rink is certainly a drawing card for many neighborhood kids. My son usually has 4 to 6 friends over each night. The 1800+ watts of lighting make it nice and bright and allows the kids to enjoy it that much longer in the evening. Even some of the adults give it a whirl now and again!! What a great way to enjoy the great outdoors and play Canada's greatest pastime at the grassroots level. It took 50 hours to build after the Bobcat operator finished leveling the backyard. A liner is the only way to go! Dedication combined with lots of patience and a good cold spell from Mother Nature will help groom the perfect sheet of ice." Great job Mark. Thanks for the pics. |
