"This is my third year building a rink. This year the rink was moved so that I could make it bigger. This year’s rink is 20' x 40'. We started clearing and leveling (and still not level) the area in September and finished at the last minute in November. We layed 2" x 6" boards and 2" x 10" boards in the low spot and used 6 mil plastic which was 24' x 100'. Poured on November 30th and 31st. New England had a great cold spell and we were skating December 7th and 8th. Couldn’t keep my 5 and 7 year old boys off the ice. Wish they could put on there own skates. A warm spell has thawed quite a bit of ice and we can’t wait for it to freeze up again." Thanks for the pic again Mike. Good job. |
